The Csabai kolbász is a dried spicy sausage with a unique paprika taste. You can also taste the caraway seed that is used. Csabai kolbász has its origins in the town of Békéscsaba. But this sausage can be made in Gyula as well as in Békéscsaba.
Since 1868, only the best pork has been seasoned with Hungarian paprika powder and smoked over a beech wood fire. This beech wood comes from 30-year-old trees from the Pécs area. And you can taste that!
